Do you need help replacing your furniture or 'White Goods'?
At the Portland Centre we can provide you with an informative Fact Sheet which will be very useful to help you find local charities which recycle unwanted furniture and electrical goods to people living in this area.
Second Chance Furniture Ltd. We are a charity based in Weymouth, Dorset, who collect good quality furniture, household goods and electrical appliances from Weymouth, Portland, Dorchester and the surrounding area for redistribution to people who need help.
The Portland Centre Workers will help you decide if you are eligible to apply:
- We will assist you to complete registration and application forms
- We will make sure you are able to present the relevant, required documents when you make first contact with the recycling organisations
- We can assist you to find out if there is any local Volunteer D.I.Y. Services available for your use
So, if you are dealing with difficulties due to:
- Special Needs
- Age related concerns
You may find The Portland Centre assistance to access some basic furniture (which is always very nice) will give you and your family a lovely home, that you can be very proud of, will be a good start and will release you from that particular worry and will enable you to focus on other aspects, problems and issues of life.
