Andrew Case Study

Andrew has been unemployed for over 5 years, but the recent changes to the benefit system has caused him to seek paid work.

He could not use a computer and had no access to the Internet, but his Job Centre Advisor required him to use the Internet to locate jobs and for applications.

He has to apply for at least 8 jobs every week and had no idea where to begin. He came to the Portland Centre for help.

Andrew now comes to the Centre every week and a staff member helps him access relevant job sites and to log onto his Job Match page.

Now he is satisfying his Job Centre contract and we are certain he will soon have an exciting new job.
